The Monstera adansonii is native to South America and Central America. It is commonly called Swiss Cheese Plant because of the look of the leaves. This exotic indoor plant grows heart shape leaves that becomes covered in holes as they mature, hence its common name. The Monstera adansonii has aerial roots growing downwards from the stem and once the roots reach the ground it allows the plant to grow in a vine like tendancy. This incredibly popular house plant will look amazing in a decorative pot as a focal point in any home. They are a little trickier to grow than the common Monstera deliciosa. Position your Monstera adansonii in a bright, well-lit room with plenty of indirect filtered sunlight.
